Jacob Graffath
Director of
Contemporary Worship

Jacob Graffath, grew up in the hills of North Carolina. While he didn’t grow up musical, he did eventually find his way to the joys of music and the world it has to offer. His favorite way to praise is through music. When he left his home in North Carolina, he landed here in the Panhandle with us. He wandered into our church in 2018 and he couldn’t be happier. Jacob regularly leads worship with his Banjo with the accompaniment of our worship band The Gulf Breeze Boys.

Karen Reid relocated to Gulf Breeze from Fairfield, Florida, a rural horse farm community, located north of Ocala in January 2017.  She found GBPC through our website and started attending our worship services where she discovered our welcoming active congregation and became a member.

She previously was an elder and served as treasurer for the First Fairfield Presbyterian Church

for over 22 years while she and her husband raised a blended family of 6 children.

After retiring with an extensive office manager and HR history, Karen became GBPC’s Office Administrative Assistant in July, 2017.

Monika Durbin received her B.A. in Music Performance from The University of West Florida. She often plays woodwinds for the Pensacola Little Theatre, flute for the Choral Society of Pensacola, and flute for the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra. She appears as a guest artist (flute and harp) on two CDs by Celtic band Sweet Prospect: Cold Frosty Morn and Lark Song. Monika enjoys playing harp with the Pensacola Harp Ensemble. She teaches private woodwind, piano, and harp lessons at her home studio in Pensacola. She and her wife Lia have one daughter, Cai.

Brenan Woody's ministry through song began at an early age in a congregational music conducting workshop at Mt. Zion Church of Christ in Walnut Log, TN. He was only 13 when the passion for music ministry consumed his spirit. Since then, he has lead many a congregation in contemporary and traditional styles of musical worship. While his roots are in a cappella, congregational hymn singing, Brenan has grown quite comfortable with his guitar and mandolin and implements them regularly in his worship with our Praise Band, lovingly dubbed 'The Gulf Breeze Boys'. Brenan's ministry with us began in 2018 when he joined our Praise Band, and has since become a staple characteristic and personality of our Sunday Worship team!
